Basic studies in the k_studio at the Chair of Architectural Design and Construction led by Professor Kandel at the Technical University Berlin.

The k_studio stands for observing (exact observation or analysis is always indispensable), notations (design is also a work of research with exact measurements and carefully developed media of documentation), references (references from a mass of different resources are important), experiments (experiments can produce unforeseeable results), 1:1-scale (many spacial hypotheses cannot be checked adequately in model simulation), communication (architects are communicators), process-style working (creating a working process is an integral part of research), perceptual orientation (in the final analysis, all effects issue from one's perception, in physical, cultural, individual as well as collective reception), travel (studytrips are usefull not only to see foreign cultures
first hand).
